Purpose Statement

To ensure the timeous and accurate processing of salaries, increase calculations and other remuneration benefits (tax directives, incentive schemes, benefit schemes, team awards, etc.) of Capitec Bank employees. To provide specialist and subject matter expertise on payroll related matters and employee tax submissions (including running of IRP5s and applying for tax directives at SARS).

Experience

Min:

  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in payroll processing and administration in an enterprise business / banking / financial environment
  • 2 – 3 years’ proven experience with tax calculations and SARS

Ideal:

  • 5 years’ experience in a similar environment 

Qualifications (Minimum)

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Finance

Knowledge

Min:

  • SAP and Success Factors payroll software experience 
  • General HR knowledge (e.g. UIF, Statutory regulations, provident fund)
  • Good knowledge of SARS E@syfile and E-filing 
  • Payroll administration
