Role Description

​An exciting opportunity exists for a Cash Controller to join our ever-growing Finance team at our Head Office! We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage our liquid assets and ensure the integrity of our financial records.

​Duties & Responsibilities

​Bank Management

  • Daily Allocations: Process and allocate daily bank transactions.
  • Statements: Extract daily bank statements.
  • Reconciliations: Perform daily, mid-month, and month-end bank reconciliations to the trial balance.
  • Inquiries: Handle banking inquiries and follow-ups.
  • Debtors Support: Assist with tracing payments for Debtors where required.
  • Receipt Management: Inspect and follow up on unallocated receipts and payments daily.
  • Journal Postings: Ensure accurate posting of all necessary journals.

​Credit Cards

  • Administration: Manage new card applications, cancellations, and changes.
  • Capturing: Process and record all credit card expenses.
  • Analysis: Perform in-depth monthly expense analysis.

​Speedpoints

  • Allocations: Daily Speedpoint allocation and matching.
  • Reconciliation: Perform month-end Speedpoint reconciliations.
  • Technical Support: Manage new machine requests and replacement/technical support.

​Petty Cash & Admin

  • Petty Cash: Management and reconciliation of petty cash funds.
  • General Admin: Assist with stationery orders, filing, and year-end stock take.

​Role Requirements

​Professional Skills

  • Attention to Detail: Precision in capturing and reconciling data.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communication: Excellent listening and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Technical: Computer literate (MS Office Suite).
  • Work Ethic: Highly organized team player who can work independently.

​Experience & Education

  • Education: Grade 12 (Matric) is required.
  • Studies: Currently studying towards a finance qualification.
  • Qualifications: A Certificate or Diploma in Finance or Economics is highly advantageous.
  • Experience: 1–2 years of accounting background in a financial role.

Logistics

  • Location: Must preferably reside in the Pretoria/Centurion area.
  • Transport: Must have own reliable transport.
